Avec des fragments d’allégorie du temps, l’ensemble de ses travaux questionne souvent les conditions humaines. Ces recherches existentielles lui permettent de garder un langage universel. Par des paysages émotifs, des vestiges de souvenance, des fils de mémoire et de sédiments de réminiscence, elle invite les regardeurs à une réflexion sur notre existence éphémère. En tant que plasticienne, Se-Lyung Moon sollicite l’esthétique de la beauté Bi-Jang-Mi (du coréen : 비장미, 悲壯美), « la beauté où réside le sublime dans la mélancolie, l'esthétique qui jaillit d'une grande tristesse ».

Artiste plasticienne et diplômée de l’ESAL (École Supérieure d'Art de Lorraine), vit et travaille en Lorraine, France. Son œuvre se compose de peintures et s’étend dans une diversité de formes et techniques, sculpture, installation, multimédia... Sa création concerte, confronte ou partage entre sa culture asiatique et occidentale. Elle expose son travail en France et à l’étranger et elle est intervenante à l'ESAL depuis 2013.

As fragments of allegory of time, the artist's work often explores themes of the human condition. These existential researches allow her to maintain a universal language. Through emotional landscapes, vestiges of memory, threads of memory and sediments of reminiscence, she invites viewers to reflect on our ephemeral existence. As an artist, she seeks an aesthetic, the beauty of Bi-Jang-Mi (in korean: 비장미, 悲壯美) "the beauty where the sublime resides in melancholy, the aesthetics which springs from great sadness"

Visual artist and graduate at ESAL (the Superior Art School of Lorraine), lives and works in Lorraine, France. Her artwork consists of paintings and extends in a variety of forms and techniques, sculpture, installation, multimedia ... Her creation combines, confronts or shares between her Asian culture and Western culture. She exhibits her work in France and abroad and she has conducted the cours at ESAL since 2013.
